About King's Kids
Welcome to Trinity Lutheran Church & School's King's Kinds (Early Childcare Program). It is the philosophy of Trinity Lutheran Church & School that young children learn most effectively when they have the opportunity to explore their environment and experience a variety of materials and situations while they play. We also believe in a responsive, developmental approach to early childhood learning which emphasizes that each child develops at their own rate and that progress is measured individually rather than in comparison to other children in the group.
Trinity Lutheran Church & School is a Christ-centered program. Learning experiences are taught from the Christian perspective that each child is a child of God and that all people are deserving of respect as creatures of God. In accordance with this philosophy, we include prayer, worship, Bible stories, and teach that offering service to others is a part of our curriculum.
Our curriculum focuses on meeting individual needs, especially in the following areas:
1. Children will see themselves as children of God.
2. Children will become independent and have a positive self-concept.
3. Children will begin to identify their own emotions.
4. Children will develop healthy habits.
5. Children will use language to communicate with others.
6. Children will become curious, with a desire to continue learning.
7. Children will learn to love reading and writing.
8. Children will see themselves as creative.
